Position Summary:

The HRIS & Analytics Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining the analytic infrastructure to successfully measure workforce efficiency and effectiveness in linking HR strategies to business outcomes. In addition, the HRIS & Analytics Specialist is responsible for supporting predictive analysis and partnering with key stakeholders throughout the system when necessary to develop the workforce planning process, data analysis, insight, and actionable solutions. The HRIS & Analytics Specialist also maintains all existing HR system applications.

Essential Functions:

The HRIS & Analytics Specialist's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Detailed workforce planning with input collected through the COE's partnership with key stakeholders throughout the organization, using sophisticated analytics required to develop recommendations to align HR strategies with business outcomes

* Supports the Lead's engagement of leaders/key stakeholders around key role segments

* Reporting and data analysis to support all of organizational workforce planning and HR analytics needs, automation of reporting

* Conducts internal forecasts on talent demand, enterprise strategic changes, productivity, and turnover

* Conducts external forecasts on talent supply, healthcare environment assumptions, and competitive changes. Identifies operational gaps and strategic impact on business objectives.

* Drafts the workforce plan in collaboration with the HR System Manager that serves as a guide for decision-making in relation to workforce strategy

* Develops metrics, gathers data, and analyzes information to drive solutions that mitigate future workforce problems

* Supports, maintains and develops new or existing HR system applications

* Analyzes and evaluates current systems and procedures and recommends system design and work flow modifications as needed

* Reviews, analyzes, documents and reports on current business and system statistical data and provides detailed analysis

* Presents and justifies proposals for system modifications, enhancements and new technology solutions to HR leadership


Reports to the HR System Manager.

Basic typing skills used daily. Requires ability to use automated tools for word-processing and spreadsheets. Requires good eyesight for reviewing documents and reports, analyzing user work environment, and using computer equipment. Good hand and eye coordination required. Requires good speech and hearing, verbal and written communication skills. Requires the ability to write legibly. Physical effort is minimal. Extended periods of sitting is often required. Department to department mobility is needed. May require travel. Must be able to reach 18 inches to grasp and move paperwork such as reports and documentation.

Environmental Conditions:

Mental and emotional stress related to deadlines for projects. Heavy work volume and high degree of accuracy required. Work may require extra hours or weekends in order to accomplish tasks with minimal disruption to customers or to meet critical deadlines. May require return to work during evening and weekend hours to resolve critical problems. Exposure to serious error is always present. Errors in design, logic, processing procedures, data integrity, data security and system recovery may affect employee and applicant data. One seemingly minor error can severely compromise data integrity. Travel may include air travel. Exposed to weather conditions during travel.

* Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, Economics or otherwise appropriate area with formal training or experience in Statistics and/or Computer Science

* 3 years experience in a strategic data analysis and/or organizational planning support role

* Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written).
